The Chairman urged residents to embark on regular hand washing in order to prevent themselves from contracting the virus.
In his words; “let me use this opportunity to appeal to our people to carefully ensure compliance with the directives of the state’s Ministry of Health on the cholera outbreak, by ensuring regular washing of hands with soap and water, practicing hygienic means in food handling and preservation. Though there is no recorded singular case of the case in our dear local government, but we must do everything to prevent it by practicing safety measures.
It’s on this note that I appeal that all residents should take seriously outlined precautionary measures and ensure stricter adherence.
We will continue as a government to do our best by providing necessary human and materials resources in the primary health centres for the benefit of our people.”
