Man Pleads Guilty To Sexual Assault On 9-Month-Old Baby

An Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court has sentenced one Agboola Adebayo to the correctional centre for molesting a 9-month old baby.

Justice Rahmon Oshodi, at the court on Monday, remanded the 28-year-old culprit after being arraigned by the Lagos State government on a two-count charge of defilement and causing grievous harm to the baby.

The state counsel, Busola Okeowo, informed the court that the offender who was remanded till March 25 for hearing commited the act on March, 23, 2023 at White Sand Area, Ijora Lagos.

Okeowo further told the court that the defendant, who pleaded guilty to the act defiled the baby causing previous harm by inflicting serious bruises on her genitals.

The counsel revealed that the molestation act contravenes the Criminal Laws of Lagos State (2015) and is punishable by life imprisonment.

Justice Rahmon Oshodi adjourned the case till March 25
