Rivers Angels head coach, Whyte Ogbonda has set his sights on getting the CAF Champions League ticket at the end of the season.
The tactician joined Rivers Angels from Confluence Queens in the summer to mark his reunion with the club he left some years back.
Whyte said he plans on building a better future for Rivers Angels as he inspires his side to give it their best shot in winning the league.
The experienced gaffer they are deterred with the number of players that left the club during the summer and the club have recruited top class players to replace them.
“My plans are to build a better Rivers Angels for the future,” Whyte told ECHONEWS exclusively.
“My target is to take Rivers Angels to CAF women champions league by the end of the season.
“Yes we have all it takes to win the league title this season.
“It is true that some first team players left the team after the 2023 season as expected because we don’t expect them to be with River Angels for ever. They have to try there luck else where. As the saying goes that you don’t watch the masquerade standing at particular spot. We did a top class recruitment during the off season. I will say the best recruitment of NWFL this season.”
Rivers Angels will trade tackles with newly promoted side, Remo Stars Ladies at Ikenne on Wednesday, November 15.
