Robo Queens head coach, Emmanuel Osahon has revealed that the club is ready to unleash young players this season in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership.
The Lagos Landladies tactician said the club is mentally and physically prepared going into the new season.
He disclosed his target this season is to be among the top three in group B to seal a place in the prestigious NWFL Super Six playoffs.
“Robo going into the season, we are prepared, though if not financially buoyant but in terms of mentally, physically, and otherwise we are prepared,” Osahon told ECHONEWS exclusively.
“The girls this time are young and ready to make name for themselves. My target this season is to be among the top three that will qualify from group B to the Super Six. Despite the fact that, on paper, our group is the toughest ever in the history of NWFL Premiership but I believe that with God, everything is possible.
“My plans for this new season is to make sure that, I produce more players for my country so that, they would be able to represent Nigeria in the U17 and U20 as usual, which has happened to be my aim always and objective. This season, Robo is coming out with a lot of young players.”
Robo Queens will be visiting Edo Queens in their first game of the season at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin on Wednesday, November 15.
The last meeting between both sides ended in a 2-0 victory for the Benin Ladies.
