The Chairman of Coker Aguda LCDA, Hon. Rasaq Olamilekan has desilted the community canal to avoid flooding in the rainy season.
The canal is said to have been causing menace and flood to the residents of Orile Iganmu, meanwhile, the council boss said he has decided to ensure the resuscitation of a sanitary environment and eliminate flood issues affecting the people to improve the commercial activities in the community.

Meanwhile, the council boss also promised that the remaining section from Coker Bridge to Alafia Bridge where people were seen crossing the canal without canoes will be completed in the next few days.
The residents of Orile Iganmu, Coker, and Aguda communities who have felt the positive impact of the desilted canal from the Censor area to Coker Bridge, gave a resounding appreciation chorus to the council chairman, saying they no more experience any form of flood after the heavy downpour for the past two days.
