Ikorodu City FC Announce Partnership With Barcelona

Ikorodu City FC has announced its partnership with five-time UEFA Champions League winners, FC Barcelona and Atletic Sant Just Futbol Club (ATSJ) of Spain.

In a statement released by the club on Friday, the club announced its partnership with the La Liga giant to stage the maiden edition of Lagos City Cup 2023.

Ikorodu City, has, in recent times, established a relationship with both clubs through a transfer of players and this tournament will serve as an opportunity for players of the participating clubs to get scouted by FC Barcelona and Atletic Sant Just FC in the window.

The Lagos City Cup 2023 is expected to have 16 clubs from Nigeria including the host club, Ikorodu City FC.

The clubs will battle for a title and have their players get scouted to sign professional contracts in Spain.

The tournament will hold at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, between July 1 and 4, 2023.
