The chairman of Mushin LG, Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye, has given financial support to the elder residents in the local government area.
This is said to be the 20th edition of giving out relief financial aid to the elders and it comes with healthcare benefits from the state government.
He said: “As part of the promises I made in 2017 when I resumed office in my first term as Chairman, to take care of the aged, widows and senior citizens.
“Today being the 20th edition of the programme tagged “Owo Arugbo” (financial support for the aged), we were able to still put some smiles on the faces of the vulnerable people in Mushin.
“Today’s programme came with Free Health Insurance from Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA) known as “ILERA EKO”, for the old people, sponsored by our amiable Mr. Sellable – His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo – Olu.
“The Health Insurance allows the beneficiaries to access free health care services in any of the Primary Health Care centres across Lagos, with the policy number allocated during registration.”
