FC Robo Queens clinical forward Monday Gift grabbed a brace against Rivers Angels to go second on the NWFL Premiership group B league standings.
The Lagos Landladies defeated Rivers Angels 2-1 at Dipo Dina, stadium, Ijebu Ode, Ogun state as the race for the super 6 heats up.
FC Robo Queens started the game in great attacking swift which saw a couple of chances come their way in a fiercely contested match between two giants of NWFL Premiership.
FC Robo Queens box to box midfielder, Folashade Ijamilusi had two chances to give the Lagos Landladies the lead in the first half but she couldn’t find the back of the net.
Skipper of FC Robo Queens and Super Falcons forward, Gift Monday hit the goal post with a well taken freekick in the 33rd minute as Rivers Angels stood their ground against the attacking threat of the Lagos Landladies.
Rivers Angels playmaker, Maryann Ezenagu also threatened the defense of FC Robo Queens with her tricky and mazy dribbling skills.
FC Robo Queens dazzling winger, Shukurat Oladipo was a thorn in the flesh of Rivers Angels defense as her dribbling skills was very valuable to the Lagos Landladies.
FC Robo Queens finally got the breakthrough of the match in the 56th minute through Gift Monday as she dribbled pass her marker to slot the ball into the net after collecting a sublime pass from Shukurat Oladipo.
Gift Monday showed her class in the 61st minute as she dribbled pass her marker before placing the ball into the back of the net beyond the reach of Rivers Angels goalkeeper.
Rivers Angels pulled a goal back towards the end of the match as FC Robo Queens took the 3 maximum points in the game.
