Despite losing all political posts in the last local government election in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Isolo LCDA, Hon. Shakiru Balogun has said the party is still strong and determined for victory in future elections not only at the national level but also at state and local government levels.

He called on residents of the community to put patriotism ahead of political partisanship in 2023 general elections.

Balogun alleged that his party lost in the last election due to  malpractice of  the election, blaming the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) for it’s defeat.

He also condemned  women involved in electoral malpractice and encouraged  residents to ook beyond the bothers of party lines to elect the best hands into government.

Balogun, a pioneer member of PDP in the council area since 1994, implored residents to join his party to elect candidates that will be democratically nominated to fly the party’s flag  in 2023.

He charged the APC led local council government under the chairmanship of Otunba Adebayo Olasoju to find a solution to the insecurity and youth unemployment in the council area.
