The Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area ( LCDA), Hon. Monsurudeen Bello (Obe), has charged the Community Development Associations (CDAs) to identify the key people and organisations that can also help in community development in their various areas, stating that the council is ready to collaborate with the CDAs, individuals and corporate entities.
Speaking on the rehabilitation of Ailegun road, Obe encouraged those who could support the government to come forward adding that it will speed up the development of the community .
.
“Although I still intend to meet with more corporate leaders within this community, I expect that all representatives of the 13 CDAs in Ailegun ward to reach out to philanthropists within the community.
“Ailegun road has been in our plan and our construction Engineer Ogene has been instructed to go round and check the state of the road. With this, we will see how much we can do to make sure the good state of this road is achieved.”
He appreciated the kind gesture shown by the CEO of Grooming Centre, Dr Nwabuka who promised to support financially and patch all potholes on Oyelana Street, saying he is making an exemplary impact within his community.
One of the CDA chairmen, Chief Omololu Odofin, pledged that the ward would mobilise all pertinent members who have already been recognised within the community and are willing to support the ward financially.
He said the potential philanthropists and corporate entities in the community had earlier been identified through their selfless services before the council chairman mentioned it.
Meanwhile, the chairman of Unity CDA, Mr Boniface Meghai, appreciated the efforts of the council chairman and those concerned for supporting the rehabilitation of the road.
He informed that a contribution of N5million has been made for the development of the ward.
