By Abolaji Adebayo
The Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Hon. Shamsudeen Olaleye Shammeh) said he has been fulfilling his promises to make sure developmental projects are distributed across the council area before his tenure expires in 2021.
Olaleye said this as he prepares to commission some of the projects which have been completed.
According to him, three out of five roads being constructed are already completed and would be commissioned in March, 2020 while works are still ongoing on others.
Other projects include Chairman’s Block in the council secretariat which is being raised to a storey building; the Legislative Building and the Customary Court.
ECHONEWS gathered that all the projects are more than 90 percent completed and would be ready for commissioning in March this year.
During his tour of the projects recently, the council boss expressed satisfaction at the quality and speed at which the works are being done.
Olaleye has also marked other areas where works would soon commence.
Meanwhile, the council chairman promised that he would henceforth make sure that projects are started and completed within three months.
Some of the road construction projects are Sylvester Anyanwu/Nwadike Street, Ago-Okota, Adejoke Sumbo Street, Okota, Aremu Street, Okota, Seke Abimbola and Hakeem Onitiri Streets still in the Okota axis.
While some are already completed, others are near completion as some of them would involve the use of interlocking blocks instead of the conventional asphalting due to the swampy terrain of the area.
