The awaited Lagos state under 19 Junior League kicked off at Agege stadium Sunday, November 24, 2019 with IBMA Babes representing Oshodi-Isolo Local Government taking on Mushin Local Government team.
The team, dressed in all green outfit with the Oshodi-Isolo local government logo, dominated the better half of the game until Emmanuel of IBMA Babes was hacked in the 18th yard box in the 34th minutes by defender of Mushin Local Government team and Chinedu beautifully converted the kick into the net for the first goal of the match.
It was a ding dong affairs in the second half as Mushin Local Government team mounted pressure to get the equaliser but the defence of IBMA Babes proved too solid for their efforts.
In the 80th minute, Emmanuel of IBMA Babes sent a powerful shot to the far right of Mushin Local Government goal keeper which he parried into the net to increase the tally of the match to 2-0.
The head coach of the team, Jamiu Hamzat thanked God for the outcome of the match and praised his boys for good artistic displayed during the match, promising to put up a better performance in the second game.
