19 Days After, Father of Missing Child laments slow probe

One of the fathers of the missing 4-year-old kids in Ilasamaja, Isolo Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Mr.Oluwaseun Ogunwole has called on the police to thoroughly investigate the suspects so far arrested in connection with the disappearance of his child, Raphael.

ECHONEWS reported that Raphael Ogunwole and Godwin Mbachu were declared missing on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from their parents’ residence at No. 10,  Oluwakemi Street, Ilasamaja in Isolo LCDA .

Ogunwole said there was no progress in the investigation as no suspect has been prosecuted.

“I’ve not seen any tangible progress from the police as regards the case though, it is obvious all hands are on deck but, they’ve not been efficient with the hints gotten from suspects.” He lamented.

“Of all the suspects arrested in connection with the case, no encouraging information has been extracted from them. Take for instance a suspect that was arrested in our locality here, nothing has been done to unravel what he was up to and his involvement in the issue. He has not been thoroughly investigated despite the hints we got about him; the police haven’t been able to utilize the basic information to get out tangible facts.

“It is almost three weeks that the kids have gone missing and it’s getting more worrisome. We are appealing to the police force to please intensify their investigation. Both children were outside playing before their sudden disappearance, the two of them. We are pleading to the police to be more proactive.”
