14 Super Falcons Players Begin Training Ahead Of Comoros Clash

Fourteen players took part in Nigeria women’s national team first training session at the Dipo Dina Stadium Ijebu Ode on Monday as they began preparations for their upcoming 2028 LA Olympics qualifier against Comoros.
The players reported to camp and participated in the opening training session as the nine-time African champions commenced their build-up for the fixture.
Those who took part in the first session were Shukurat Oladipo, Shakirat Moshood, Glory Ogbonna, Oluchi Omenazu, Farida Abdulwahab, Tumininu Adeshina and Joy Igbokwe.
Also involved were Fatimoh Solaty, Christiana Uzoma, Blessing Nkor, Valentina Uroko, Glory Edet, Sandra John and Suliat Abideen.
The squad is expected to receive a major boost from Tuesday with the arrival of several key players currently away on club duties.
Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade is expected to join the squad alongside her Paris Saint-Germain teammate Jennifer Echegini and United States-based defender Michelle Alozie.
A further 11 players are also expected to arrive on Tuesday, bringing the squad close to full strength as preparations intensify.
The coaching crew will use the coming sessions to work on the team’s tactical approach and sharpen the players ahead of the Comoros encounter.
Super Falcons will trade tackles with Comoros in a two legged qualifier with both legs holding at Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne. The first leg comes up on Friday, October 9, while the second leg will be held on Tuesday, October 13.
