The Pan Yoruba Socio-Cultural Organisation, Afenifere Egbe Ilosiwaju Yoruba, has described Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi as an icon of democracy while rejoicing with him on his 86th birthday.
In a statement by the group’s Publicity Secretary, Mr. Morris Awosil, Afenifere congratulated Olusi, his family and friends for the remarkable achievements over the years.
The statement read: “You are not just a Yoruba leader but a Patriotic Nigerian whose wisdom and high moral values reflect impeccable virtues desired by every human organisation and which they strive to emulate.
“Your commitment to national service, hard work, resoluteness and immense contributions to the enthronement of democracy in Nigeria are enough proof of your living legendary.”
The group stressed that the Prince of Peace as he is fondly referred, has over the years proved to be a dependable and reliable individual, whose contributions to the development of his home state – Lagos, the Yoruba region and the country as a whole are inestimable.
“Baba Olusi is one of the leading vanguards of the Progressive school of thought ‘a true, sincere, committed, passionate and loyal Awoist deserving of all accolades.’
“This special day of life, 13th October, is worth praying for and deserves special celebration in an enviable manner that would encourage many others of your strong and unrelenting faith in God.
“At 86, we are all proud of our leader. And we pray to God Almighty to spare your life to be able to contribute further not only to the Yoruba land but Nigeria at large.
