Wafa League 2023/2024: Fefap President, Technical Director Promises A Level Playing Ground

The 2023/2024 Wafa League is scheduled to kickoff on February nine marking another return of the grassroots women’s football tournament in Nigeria.

The league format have been designed to various groups with the table toppers in each group and playing a playoffs to determine the eventual winner of the league.

Speaking to ECHONEWS exclusively, the president of Female Football Accredited Proprietors (FEFAP), Jaiyeola Damilare said plans are in shape to ensure a smooth Wafa League this season.

He stated his belief that this season’s edition will be an exciting one as he promises an equal ground for all clubs devoid of biased officiating.

The technical director of Wafa League, Olajide Royal noted, no team will be favored above others and he advised all participating clubs to abide by the rules of the league.

Nakamura FA won the previous edition of the Wafa League and are in contention to defend their crown.
