Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen has hit back at Galatasaray supporters questioning his commitment to the Turkish champions, insisting that criticism will not affect his confidence or determination on the pitch.
The Super Eagles forward made it clear that he would not allow outside pressure to distract him from his responsibilities, maintaining that his performances and achievements already speak for themselves.
“I come from a place where I’m not afraid, I don’t fear difficulties. No one can tell me how to sprint, how to play, how to score goals,” Osimhen said.
“I already do these things, and that’s why I’m one of the world’s best strikers. They don’t really know me, nothing they say affects me.”
The 27-year-old also dismissed suggestions that he would allow the controversy surrounding his commitment to the club to influence his approach, insisting that he had chosen to ignore the criticism.
“They want to drag me into that, but I’ve approached all the talk with indifference. I have other things to deal with, I’m not bothering with these,” he added.
Osimhen has established himself as one of the leading forwards in European football, earning recognition for his goalscoring ability, physical presence and relentless work rate.
The Super Eagles striker arrival at Galatasaray further raised expectations among the club’s supporters, who look to the Nigerian international to deliver goals and help the team compete for domestic and continental honours.
Osimhen’s remains determined to concentrate on his football rather than become embroiled in a public exchange with critics.
The Nigerian international has consistently built his reputation around his aggressive playing style, ability to lead the attack and determination to overcome challenges.
