VeryDarkMan Makes U-Turn, Takes 40% Blame to Jude Okoye

Nigerian social media activist, VeryDarkMan, has withdrawn from the ongoing family dispute involving music duo P-Square and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, following criticism from Nigerians over his involvement in the matter.

VeryDarkMan had faced backlash for his defence of Jude amid allegations raised by Peter Okoye concerning the management and financial affairs of P-Square.

The controversy intensified after Peter presented documents and other evidence in support of his allegations, prompting several Nigerian and international celebrities to publicly express support for him.

Liberian actor Frank Artus also waded into the controversy, urging VeryDarkMan to stay out of the Okoye family dispute.

In a video shared on Sunday evening, VeryDarkMan appeared to soften his earlier position, acknowledging that Jude also bore responsibility for the crisis.

He said that after listening to both Jude and Peter, he would apportion 40 per cent of the blame to Jude, 30 per cent to Peter and the remaining 30 per cent to the family, including Peter’s wife.

VeryDarkMan specifically faulted Jude for refusing to step down as P-Square’s manager after Peter allegedly requested that he stop managing the group over claims of financial mismanagement.

“I will put 40 percent of the blame on Jude, 30 percent on Peter and another 30 percent on the wife, the family and everybody,” he said.

The activist maintained that expressing his opinion on the dispute was not a crime, while acknowledging that people were entitled to disagree with him.

He subsequently announced his decision to withdraw from the P-Square matter, effectively distancing himself from the ongoing family controversy.

VeryDarkMan also disclosed that he would now turn his attention to preparing to appear before a police panel over his allegations against AIG Jimoh Moshood.
