University Magt discards fake news over admission procedure

The management of Lagos State University (LASU) has discarded the viral news that their 2022/2023 admission list would be based on biological selection.
The assumed fake news was said to have been propagated and signed by an unidentified Dafav Consults (DAFAV OF LASU, LASU_ISLAND) which the university claimed to be unknown.
According to the information on its official website, the institution claimed that it would on no account admit students based on their parents or lecturer’s connection with the institution while reiterating that the institution is only based on merit.
“It was noted that the social media platform in which the news was disseminated is unrecognised as its aim is only to mislead parents/guardian.
“An assurance has been made for the University’s credibility while noting that all admitted students would be based on their individual efforts and nothing else.”
