LAGOS — The Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB) Southwest has appointed Aarebirin Hon. Princess Dr. Folashade Olabanji-Oba, Honourable Commissioner of the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, as its new Director of Women Affairs.

The appointment, announced by the regional leadership of the organisation, is expected to strengthen the group’s women-focused activities, political mobilisation and grassroots engagement across the Southwest.

TTB Southwest described Olabanji-Oba as an experienced public servant and grassroots mobiliser whose background in public administration and community engagement would bring additional strength to the organisation’s efforts to increase women’s participation in its activities.

TTB Southwest Welcomes New Women Affairs Director

In a congratulatory message, the organisation formally welcomed Olabanji-Oba into the TTB Southwest family, expressing confidence in her ability to contribute meaningfully to its objectives.

The group said her appointment reflects its determination to deepen the participation of women in political mobilisation and grassroots development across the region.

According to the organisation, women remain an important component of effective grassroots mobilisation, and strengthening their involvement is essential to building broader community engagement.

With Olabanji-Oba assuming the role, TTB Southwest expects to expand its women-oriented programmes while creating greater opportunities for women to participate in its activities across the region.

Experience Meets Grassroots Mobilisation

The appointment also places Olabanji-Oba at the centre of the organisation’s efforts to connect women with grassroots political and community initiatives.

As a public servant and member of the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, her new role is expected to draw on her experience in public administration and engagement at the local government level.

TTB Southwest expressed optimism that her leadership would help strengthen the organisation’s presence among women and communities across the six states of the Southwest.
