All Progressive Congress (APC) Team Grassroot Voice, Isolo/Ejigbo LCDAs has declared absolute support for the election of the incumbent vice chairman of Isolo LCDA; Hon. Adebayo Olasoju as the chairman of Isolo LCDA and the re-election of Hon. Monsurudeen Bello (Obe) as the chairman of Ejigbo LCDA in the forthcoming Local Government elections.

The team declared their support in a joint meeting with its members on political matters while encouraging them to go out in their large numbers to elect the endorsed candidates.

Speaking to ECHONEWS, the team’s president, Comr. Remi Williams noted that the essence of the meeting was to openly declare support for the grassroots candidates for chairmanship and to also identify the party’s candidates for the councillorship election in both Isolo and Ejigbo respectively.

Williams explained that the need for the open declaration is to lead committed party members towards voting for the right candidates.

He emphasised that the team do not on no account nominate misleading persons to govern them as the priority of the team is to ensure accrediting community oriented leaders that would be easily accessible after being voted for.

Also speaking, the deputy state women leader of the team who doubles as the incumbent majority leader of the legislative council, Ejigbo LCDA, Hon. Grace Nwankwo-Okere at the meeting appealed to members to continue to stay loyal and firm with the party, saying loyalty is a key aspect of political commitment.

She added that part of party loyalty is to be orderly and responsible while casting their votes as the party does not encourage political crisis.

Appreciating the gesture of the team, Obe and representatives of Hon. Olasoju commended the Team’s effort in uniting the party members at the grassroots.
