Teacher in police net for impregnating 17-yr old girl

A 30 year old teacher named Mr. Brownson Ikpe has been arrested by the police officers of Ejigbo Police station for defiling and impregnating his student, a 17 years old girl unlawfully.

Echonews is withholding the name of the girl because she is not of age.

Ikpe was said to have had carnal knowledge of the victim while he accompanied her to Ekiti State University for Post UTME.

According to the Police source, the suspect was arrested at the point where he was making attempt to get the pregnancy aborted for the girl after he was reported to the police by an eyewitness.

The source told ECHONEWS that the victim was taken to MIRABEL Centre at LASUTECH, where she was examined and the pregnancy was confirmed to be intact.

The case has however been transferred to Family Support Unit of Area D Command, Mushin for further investigation while comprehensive medical report is still being awaited.

The source said the suspect would be charged to court at the end of the investigation.
