TCN Launches 110MVA Transformer in Isolo

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has successfully commissioned a new 110MVA, 132/33KV power transformer at the Isolo Transmission Station in Lagos.

This development is set to enhance the reliability of electricity supply and alleviate load pressure in Isolo, Ejigbo, Okota, and surrounding areas.

The 110MVA transformer is expected to significantly improve the power supply to residents and businesses in these areas, contributing to the region’s economic growth and development.

The Lagos State Electricity Board’s General Manager, Engr. K.A.T. Balogun, commended TCN for this crucial infrastructure upgrade, emphasizing its importance for the community.

Balogun, representing the State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, highlighted the need for proper maintenance and optimal utilization of the new transformer to maximize its benefits for the community.

His words, “This new transformer will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for residents and businesses in Isolo and surrounding areas. We appreciate TCN’s commitment to enhancing electricity infrastructure in Lagos State.”

The commissioning ceremony was attended by key stakeholders, including the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu; the Managing Director of TCN, Engr. Sule Abdulaziz; the CEO of Ikeja Electric, Mrs. Folake Soetan and the CEO of Eko Electricity Distribution Company, Mrs. Rakhiat Momoh, among others.
