Success Odey Relishes Lagos Mini Football League Win With Unification Ladies

Unification Ladies versatile midfielder, Success Odey has unlocked the inspiration behind her club’s title win at the maiden edition of the Lagos Mini Football League held at Keke Primary School, Agege.

Unification Ladies recovered from a two goal deficit in the first half to defeat DreamStar Ladies 5-3 at the end of the game which was witnessed by a mammoth crowd.

Revealing the motivation behind Unification Ladies recent success, Odey said the team had the best of preparation towards the final, remained dedicated and firm to their desired goal.

“I would say God, and we have been training hard to get to the final, and also win the trophy,” he said.

She however unfolded the benefits of the tournament which created avenue for the exposure of the players to global community.

“So, first of all, I would thank God, because God has been great to us, and also my teammates. We’ve been doing a good work, and Mini Football League, it creates avenue for young players to showcase their skills and talents.”

Unification Ladies have cemented their status as a household name in Lagos State women’s football.

The club boasts of array of talented youngsters that have gained knowledge and represented Nigeria at age grade competitions.
