Speed Darlington Challenges Burna Boy To Fight, Offers Huge Cash Prize

Nigerian music star Speed Darlington has challenged his colleague, Burna Boy, to a boxing match, boasting that he would defeat the Grammy-winning singer in the ring.

Speed Darlington made the challenge during a recent interview with Hip TV, where he also pledged to put up a huge sum of money if Burna Boy agreed to fight him.

The ‘Akpi’ crooner insisted that Burna Boy’s popularity and musical success did not mean he could defeat him in a physical contest.

“I challenge Burna Boy to fight me. I will drop a huge sum just to fight him. I want to fight him. I will beat him. He’s all hype. He can’t beat me. Just because some people like his music doesn’t mean he can beat me. I am challenging him,” he said.

The latest challenge comes against the backdrop of the long running public exchanges between the 2 entertainers.

Speed Darlington had previously made controversial comments about Burna Boy, including allegations concerning the singer’s relationship with embattled American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The dispute also featured Portable, who claimed in April that Burna Boy gave him N20 million after he defeated Speed Darlington in a boxing match.

Portable alleged that the payment was connected to Speed Darlington’s repeated trolling of Burna Boy.

The latest challenge now puts the spotlight back on the rivalry, although there has been no indication that Burna Boy has accepted Speed Darlington’s proposed boxing bout.
