Sole Administrators out, elected chairmen take over

Democracy,- the government of the people for the people by the people- has returned to Oshodi-isolo local government and its twin local council development areas- Ejigbo and Isolo.
Taoheed Taiwo, who ran Oshodi-Isolo bowed to the wishes of the people by handing over to Hon. Bolaji Muse Ariyoh.
His counterparts- Engr. Ibrahim Adigun of Ejigbo handed over to Alhaji Monsuru Oloyede better known as Obe and Ms Oshikoya of Isolo to Alhaji Shameh Olaleye.
Mounting the saddle with the new chairmen are their vice chairmen.
In Oshodi- Isolo. Daisi Osho, an architect is the vice-chairman. His counterparts are Dr. Tunde Olusunmade in Ejigbo and Mr. Bayo Olasoji in Isolo.
All the elected helmsmen belong to the All Progressive Congress party.
Another major shakeup in the administration of local governments is the rebirth of the legislative arm.

Following the July 22 election and the inauguration of the Legislative arms, there are now 20 councillors in the local government area.
Both Oshodi-Isolo LGA and Isolo LCD have seven councillors each and Ejigbo LCDA has six councillors.
In Ejigbo, the Sole Administrator of Ejigbo LCDA, Ibrahim Adigun has officially handed over reigns of activities in the Ejigbo Secretariat to Honourable Monsuru Obe as the latter begins his administrative tenure in the council.
During the handover event held at the council on June 28, Adigun presented his handing over notes to Obe, his successor so as to enable him commence work and effectively carry out his duties.
The Sole Administrator paid tribute to all stakeholders, Community Development Committee (CDA), royal fathers, chiefs, religious bodies, security personnel, artisans, market men/women, political leaders, colleagues, associations, benefactors, family, friends too numerous to mention and all the residents in the Ejigbo community.
Adigun in his utterances said that despite the divergence of belief, faith, political affiliations and tribal inclinations, Ejigbo residents supported and encouraged him and remained peaceful. He thanked them for this unique feat.
Hon. Monsuru Bello in turn thanked Adigun for his courage, dedication, competence, tenacity, and giant stride towards uplifting the standard of the Council.
