The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Lagos State governor on grassroots sport, Mr Adebanji Adeoye Atewogboye (Skibanj) has hailed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the immediate response and rehabilitation of key roads that will be used for the Lagos Street Soccer competition.
Engineers from the Lagos State Public Works Corporation have rehabilitated key roads in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area following a formal request by the SSA to the Lagos State governor, Skibanj.
In a statement, Atewogboye said he had written the previous week requesting the rehabilitation of critical roads in the area, with particular focus on Oloyede Street and Joseph Street. The two streets serve as the venue for the Lagos Street Soccer Stars 2.0 Oshodi Edition and other community activities.
“I am pleased to announce that engineers were mobilized to site yesterday, and both Oloyede Street and Joseph Street have received immediate intervention. Other roads will be attended to in due course,” he said.
Atewogboye noted that the rapid response would improve access for residents while ensuring a smooth and befitting hosting of the Lagos Street Soccer Stars 2.0 event and other developmental programmes in the community.
He expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of Oshodi-Isolo to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the General Manager of the Lagos State Public Works Corporation for the prompt action.
