Nigerian singer Skales has recounted how fellow artiste Burna Boy allegedly appealed to Davido to allow him to join his private jet for a performance in Yola, Adamawa State.
Skales shared the experience while recalling a show where he and Burna Boy were booked to perform in the northern Nigerian city.
According to him, Burna Boy contacted Davido to ask if he could travel with his team on the private jet. Davido reportedly agreed to the request, despite the aircraft already being full.
Skales said the situation became so crowded that one person had to sit on the toilet seat during the journey. He also disclosed that Davido gave up his own seat for him.
“Burna called Davido and said, ‘Please, can I join their jet?’ Davido said, ‘Why not?’” Skales recalled.
He explained that Davido had to ask one of his team members to travel the following day because there was not enough space for everyone on board.
Skales further revealed that after arriving in Yola, he performed alongside Burna Boy. He said the encounter eventually opened another door for him, as it led to his connection with American electronic music group Major Lazer, with whom he later recorded music.
