*Sanwo-Olu Brings More Succour To LWC, Pays All Outstanding Unremitted Pensions Contributions Of Staff/Retirees To Date*

Following the recent payments of compensation and other benefits to disengaged staff of Lagos Water Corporation, the State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu in his spirit of magnanimity, once again granted more succour to the Corporation by the payments of all outstanding unremitted pension contributions of staff/retirees to date.

This was contained in a statement released by the LWC Managing Director, Engr. Mukhtaar Temitope Tijani over the weekend in Lagos. Engr. Mukhtaar explained that the payments covered outstanding for the period of August 2011 up to Oct, Nov, Dec, 2016.

He explained further that millions of naira were remitted to the preferred Pension Fund Administrator Accounts (PFAs) of all Staff, both active and disengaged.

Also, in his exemplary commitment to ensuring the timely and consistent payments of all the Corporation’s financial obligations, LWC boss was pleased to announced that Mr. Sanwo-Olu has graciously settled the accrued rights (bond) of the Corporation retirees up to Dec 2022.

This, he said, “represents past service of staff dating back to May 2007 before the commencement of the contributory pension scheme”.

On this development, the Managing Director emphasized that the Corporation is now fully in compliance with the State Regulatory body; Lagos State Pension Commission (LASPEC).

While expressing the Corporation’s heartfelt gratitude on Mr. Governor’s unwavering dedication, integrity and commitment to upholding justice and fairness to all, Engr. Mukhtaar, thanked Mr. Sanwo-Olu for his continued advocacy and efforts for staff and retirees of Lagos Water Corporation, he concluded.
