Following the security measure taking against insecurity in Low cost Housing Estate, Jankande, the residents have commended the chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Monsurudeen Bello (Obe), saying his effort has been fruitful.
They also commended the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ejigbo Police Station, CSP Olabisi Okuwobi for beefing up security in the community on the order of the council boss.
There has been incessant robbery and cases of missing children at the Estate for some months ago.
With the intervention of the police and other security agents, the residents confirmed that peace has been restored in the community, noting that security in the Estate has reduced criminal activities to the lowest ebb.
One of the residents who spoke to ECHONEWS, Mr. Adeyemi Yusuff, the President of Estate Youth Parliaments (EYP), stated that the security has stabilized the community from the issue of children missing and other crimes.
He explained the security has improved in the Estate as the residents were always in contact with the police who quickly responded to their distress calls.
He also noted that Jakande Gate entrance decongestion was really improving, saying there have been changes in the situation since the council chairman ordered Okada, tricycle operators and road side traders to leave the road the place.
