A religious scholar, the Imam of Agboroko Central Mosque in Iba LCDA, Imam Najimudeen Aminullah has preached against hypocritical acts as the nation produces a new president.
He warned against such fallacy echoing that it is against the teachings of God to be two-faced in dealings.
Imam Aminullah cited Q 9 vs 67 as an evident quote that discerns cultivating oneself in such behaviour.
“The hypocritical men and the hypocritical women are all alike; they enjoy evil and forbid good and withhold their hands; they have forsaken Allah, so He has forsaken them; surely the hypocrites are the transgressors.”
He said political disparity does not warrant void behaviour that would displease one Lord over trivial pursuit that is worldly.
He, therefore, prayed for a peaceful nation and the efficiency of all elected candidates in government.
