Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has revealed that she celebrated her 25th birthday in a wheelchair after months of severe pain and mobility difficulties.

The actress disclosed this in an Instagram post on Saturday, reflecting on her ongoing health challenges and how they have affected her ability to move around freely.

According to Daniels, her condition worsened after a Children’s Day carnival she organised, leaving her unable to walk on some days despite undergoing repeated medical tests.

“I lost my freedom to move around as I please. It started as something minor but eventually led to this,” she wrote.

The actress said her condition took a turn for the worse after the public gathering, adding that the repeated medical tests and unpredictable pain had taken a toll on her.

“Things took a major turn after the last public gathering that I held for my Children’s Day carnival.

“It’s been one test after another that I started calling myself a lab rat. The pain became too excruciating; sometimes I am walking well, and sometimes I just can’t move,” she said.

Daniels did not disclose a specific diagnosis in the quoted post, leaving the cause of her condition unclear.

Her disclosure comes months after she became less active on social media, before a video surfaced online that allegedly showed her in a dispute with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, amid allegations of domestic violence.

The latest update has drawn attention to the actress’s health, with her account highlighting the physical difficulties she says she has experienced in recent months.
