Political allies, community stakeholders commiserate as Sokunle buries mum

Political allies and community stakeholders in in Oshodi-Isolo LGA have continued to commiserate with the Member of Lagos State House of Assembly representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency I, Hon. Hakeem Sokunle, as he buried her mother on Wednesday, April 8, 2021.
The lawmaker’s mother, Alhaja Amoke Rukayat Sokunle reportedly died on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 after brief illness.
The late matriarch was buried at her residence in Iju-Ishaga according to Islamic rite today, Thursday, April 8, 2021.
In his condolence message, Ariyoh sought eternal rest for the deceased while praying Almighty Allah to give the family members the fortitude to bear the loss.
He wrote: “It is with pain that I write to commiserate with Hon. Akeem Olusola Sokunle, Member Lagos State House of Assembly (Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 1) on the demise of his mother, Alhaja Amoke Rukayat Sokunle who passed on on April 7, 2021.
“My thought and prayer are with you and your family in this moment of grief.
“I prayed Allah repose her soul and grant the families, associates, and other sympathizers the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Quoting from the Holy Qur’an, Ariyoh said: “Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception” Q3vs 185.”
Also commiserating, Olukayode Salako wrote: “Dear Hon. Sokunle, the departure of your mother from this mysterious world came to me as a rude shock. There is nothing any one of us can do to reverse the sad reality, but to pray that may her beautiful soul continue to rest in the bosom of the mercy and good acceptance of her creator in the place of her transition.
“She came; she lived; she saw it all and probably achieved all she wanted to achieve around the lives of all her children before she left, especially you. I am sure she must be a proud woman to have a successful and great son like you before she left.
‘It is my prayer of admonition and consolation, therefore, that may the good God comfort you; continue to be with you and bless you more and more after the departure of your dear mother. May her departure not be the end of all the good things your God and destiny still have graciously in store for you.
“Kindly accept my deep heart felt consolation dear brother. May God grant mama’s soul Aljana Firdauz. Take heart my brother. May God continue to guide, protect and prosper you and all the children and loved ones she left behind. E pele sir…Eyin mama a dara ju bayi lo o!”
APC Chairman, Oshodi-Isolo LG, Alhaji Kasali Olamide wrote: “A heartfelt condolences on behalf of myself, family members and Oshodi/Isolo Local Govt as a whole to the entire family of Hon. Sokunle Hakeem Olusola, a distinguished and indefatigable member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Oshodi Constituency I, Lagos State, on the demise of our dear loving mother, Alhaja Amoke Rukayat Sokunle, which sad event occurred today after a brief illness.
“May Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings, grant her al janah firdauz and also give the bereaved fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.”
“The loss of a rare gem. On behalf of my family and all Mob’Oluwa Duro 2021, we condole with an able representative, a leader indeed, Hon. Hakeem Shokunle on the death of your mother.
“Mama lived well and old and we thank God you played your role well as a true son. May God console you and give you the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. Please accept our condolences,” Chairmanship aspirant, Oshodi Isolo LGA, Ev. (Mrs.) Adesola Oriyomi wrote.
