Oshodi-Isolo LG reinstates temporary workers
By Edith Igbokwe
Out of about 259 contract and temporary (non-pensionable) staff members of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government early disengaged from workforce on March 15, 2019, about 170 have been short listed to be reabsorbed.
The short listed non pensionable staff members were asked to submit their application letters, curriculum vitae with current passport photograph, and bank account number to the office of the Human Resource Officer (HRO) for further processing of their appointment with the local government before the closure of work on Wednesday 26th June, 2019.
The re-appointment cuts across personal assistant and special assistants to the chairman, vice chairman committee, and councillors.
Others include contract staff in primary healthcare, media crew and temporary staff of the local government.
According to the HRO, Lateef Badmus, who signed the memo, the early termination of their appointments was to reshuffle workforce as a normal exercise in the public service jobs for performance review and to give new individuals the opportunity to contribute their quota to the service.
