The chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has emerged the overall winner of Nigeria Local Government Chairmen Merit award on infrastructure.
The announcement was made via a letter that was submitted to the office of the council chairman on Monday by the organizers , congratulating and informing him of his emergence.
Part of the letter reads; “The panel of judges and nomination committee of Nigerian Local Government Chairman Merit Award (LOGMA) have unanimously chosen as the worthy recipient of the esteemed award for 2024.
You have successfully passed through the various performance assessment stages; verification of report from our field officers, opinion poll, in response to our call for nominations on Radio, television stations and national dailies. All these records show that you have made exceptional and outstanding contributions in grassroots development in Nigeria”.
The letter continued, “… particularly, your outstanding achievements in the area of infrastructure, this award is thereby package to celebrate excellence and enhance your present and future political endeavours.”
The letter further revealed that “Honourable Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, is being expected as the Special Guest of Honour while Senator Yaroe Binos Dada, Chairman Senate committee on states and local government affairs, will be the chairman of the occasion” at the presentation day which will be held in Abuja.
Upon receiving the information, delighted Oloyede appreciated the organisers of the award for their due diligence and also eulogized the teeming residents of the local government for their love and continued support for his administration. He promised to continue to work for the development and progress of the people who elected him.
