Oloyede Reiterates Support For Security Agencies

Determined to rid his local government of insecurity and totally curb cultism related activities, the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede is fortifying his relationship with the Nigeria police.

He said that his administration would work with the police when he received the newly posted Divisional Police Officer (DPO) from Makinde Police Station to the the local government secretariat.

While receiving the gallant Police officer and his team, Otunba Oloyede assured him of total support in the fight against insecurity, cultism and other related crimes within the council.

The council boss however urged the DPO to be prompt, efficient and diligent in discharging his duties. He disclosed that the local government has been peaceful and habitable but for the incidences of cult clashes.

He charged the new DPO to leave no stone unturned and promised the support of his administration to empower the security outfit.

He said; “I want to yet again welcome you to our local government. Oshodi has moved away from the bad image of the past and we have been enjoying a free and business friendly environment. It’s however disturbing seeing the activities of the cult members lately tormenting the peace of the community.

I urge you to be effective, efficient and diligent in your duties. I promise you of the total support of our administration towards having a smooth operation in the fight against insecurity and cult related cases in the council.”

The DPO, SP Aduroja Akinola, appreciated the chairman for the warmth reception and for the support he has received within his short period at the Police station.

SP Akinola promised to effectively tackle the nefarious activities of the cultists and ensure the safety of lives and properties of residents.

In the company of the DPO are ASP Kasumu Lukmon, ASP Thompson Thompson, ASP Babatunde Tayo and DSP Adepeju Akintoye.
