Olowa Reiterates Commitment To Promoting Tourism

The chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Sesan Olowa has reiterated his commitment towards promoting tourism in the council area.

He said this while flagging off the Africa Fabric and Food Festival organised by Excursion Africa Media held at the council area.

The programme which is an annual event was organised to promote African culture and tradition while exhibiting Nigeria’s tourism potential to the outside world.

In his address, the council boss commended the organisers for bringing the event to the council area.

Olowa also applauded the Managing Director of Villa Rica, Dr. Joe Owei for providing a suitable and befitting venue for the event while informing the audience of the annual Ibeju-Lekki carnival coming up soon.

“It will not only help in generating revenue it will also help in showcasing Ibeju-Lekki, her tourism viability, and the strive of my Administration to create more jobs for our teeming youth through tourism.

“It is also our little way of opening the Local Government up for economic and tourism gains,” he said.

There were various cultural displays and exhibitions of traditional attires, Arts, and Crafts.
