Okota Senior High Sch holds 2018 annual inter house sports

Okota Senior High School has held its annual Inter House Sports competition to commemorate the end of the year 2018.

It was a fun-filled day with teachers and students coming together to cheer and celebrate their respective houses.

The Annual Inter House Sports Competition, held 27th Of November 2018, was another breath-taking event that saw Red House emerged the overall winner.

Speaking with journalists shortly after declaring the competition open with the lightning of the touch, the School Games Master, Mr. Nurudeen Adebayo, said the essence of the competition is to help develop character and cultivate the virtues of sportsmanship and competitiveness in the students.

He added that such competition would also help to develop the skills, talents and abilities of the students to enable them to excel in their future endeavours.

The Principal of the school, Mrs. Mojisola Odusi, who commended all the participating students, noted that they were in the vantage position to make a breakthrough in sport activities after their academic pursuits.

She charged the students to face their studies while acquiring skill in sport activities, advising them not to forfeit their academics for sport.

According to her, education would aid their performance in sport if properly acquired as and when due.

Odusi also appreciated all the teachers and the various houses masters for the job well done in making this year’s event a memorable one.
