Ojodu LCDA, ETL Engineering, Partner on Technical Training For Youths

The administration of Mr. Segun Odunmbaku in partnership with ETL Engineering Services, began a technical and professional training program for young people in Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State.

The goal of the program is to provide the youths with valuable skills in engineering and other technical fields.

This initiative is a part of the Council’s strategy to address unemployment, bridge the skills shortage, and promote entrepreneurship among young people.

The training will encompass a range of technical subjects including electrical installation, electromechanical engineering, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

The training program will consist of comprehensive hands-on training sessions led by experienced professionals from ETL Engineering Services, covering both classroom and practical aspects.

During the launch event, Mr. Segun Odunmbaku extended thanks to ETL Engineering Services for collaborating with the council on this important initiative, which marks the beginning phase.

He highlighted the significance of technical skills in today’s competitive job market and stressed the importance of equipping young people with relevant knowledge and expertise.

The Chairman also outlined the various training opportunities made available by the Council in Agribusiness, Solar Power, Waste To Wealth, and Information Technology, encouraging participants to approach the training with dedication and maximize the opportunity.

He reassured them of the council’s commitment to providing the necessary support and resources for their success in the program.

CEO of ETL Services, Mr. Udemba said that the training programme is to run for a period of three months, after which the participants will receive professional certificates of completion, that the initiative will not only provide the youths with valuable skills but also open up employment and entrepreneurial opportunities due to the robust curriculum as graduands would become assets to the organisation that engaged them.

Present at the Flagoff ceremony were Legislative Leader, Mr. Opeyemi Apatira, SLG, Mr. Olaide John Bello, Mr. Lekan Peters, Mr. Dapo Adeoye and CDC Chairman, Pastor Segun Fayemi.
