Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA Chairman, Rasaq Ajala, has reiterated his commitment to youth development as the annual Odi-Olowo Chairman’s Cup (OCC) football tournament kicked off with impressive displays of talent.
Ajala emphasized the tournament’s role in channeling the boundless energy of young people into productive avenues. He encouraged participants to seize the opportunity provided by the local government to uncover their potential.
“We aim to redirect the youthful exuberance of our community into constructive endeavors that benefit both individuals and society as a whole,” Ajala stated.
“This platform is designed to unearth hidden talents and empower our youth to contribute positively to the nation.”
The chairman expressed confidence in the ability of the young athletes to achieve great things, both for themselves and the community.
“Football has evolved into a lucrative industry, and we must support our youths in pursuing their passion,” he added.
“The exceptional performance of the U10 category is a testament to their immense potential. We are dedicated to providing the necessary support to nurture their talents and create opportunities for them to excel.”
Ajala further emphasized the council’s commitment to youth development beyond sports, highlighting initiatives in technology, energy, and vocational training.
