NWFL Club Owners Election: Henrrinetta Ehiabor emerges chairperson as Matilda Otuene losses reelection bid

The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) club owners association elected another new sets of executives to steer the ship of the club owners in the NWFL women league in Nigeria.
The election was held at Radisson Blu hotel Ikeja had in attendance 26 women club owners and only the club owner of Pelican Stars was absent as they elected another sets of executives.
Before the former executives was dissolved, the ex chairperson while giving her welcome speech apologized to the NWFL Club owners for any issues they believed that she didn’t do well and admitted that she holds the NWFL club owners dearly to her heart.
The ex chairperson of the NWFL Club owners, Mrs Matilda Otuene and the former vice chairman, Emmanuel Osahon of FC Robo Queens lost their reelection bid as they were defeated in the contest.
Delta Queens Chairperson, Mrs Henrrinetta Ehiabor emerged the NWFL club owners association chairperson as she polled 16 votes to defeat Matilda Otuene who gathered 10 votes.
For the vice chairman position, the chairman of Adamawa Queens polled 14 votes to beat the proprietor of FC Robo Queens, Emmanuel Osahon who got 12 votes in the contest.
In the secretary position, Dream Star owner Abolore Abdulrahman polled 17 votes to defeat Osun Babes chairman, Tope Akinbade who got 9 votes.
The position of the PRO, financial secretary, treasurer, assistant secretary was unopposed as the candidates were given the greenlight by the 26 present NWFL club owners at the election.
The newly elected chairperson NWFL club owners association, Henrrinetta Ehiabor said she will work for the benefit of the club owners, the growth of the league and work collectively with the chairperson of the NWFL to get productive outcome.
The newly elected secretary, Abolore Abdulrahman stated that they will look for ways to revitalize the league as club owners and they are there to help the NWFL league board to make the league one of the best in the world which stakeholders will be happy to be associated with.
One of the electoral committee member, Danny Nazzal (President Dannaz Ladies) described the electoral process as a transparent one.
