Man arrested for harbouring alledged criminal lover in Ejigbo

Godspower Sunday, 41, has landed himself in police net after he was caught with a lady simply identified as Cynthia who has been alleged to be a suspected criminal in Ejigbo.
Cynthia, a resident of Ajayi Close at Bakare Estate, Isheri Osun, was said to have indulged herself in theft acts and met her waterloo when she forced her way into one Isiaka Usman’s apartment, stole his money and went into hiding.
Isiaka, alongside other residents in the area, after examining her alledged theft archives, reported the matter at the Isheri Osun Police Division.
The police, based on information, traces Cynthia to his lover’s house, where she was eventually arrested along side her lover, Sunday.
During their prosecution, Sunday denied his knowledge of Cynthia’s criminal act. He claimed that he only wooed her and she had come to his house for a sex romp.
The police officers were not convinced and found Sunday culpable.
The two suspects were charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates court yesterday for criminal conspiracy and stealing, which they both pleaded not guilty of.
The Presiding Magistrate, K.J. Layeni granted them bail in the sum of N50,000 each with one surety in like sum.
They were remanded in prison custody pending the time they would perfect their bail condition.
The case has been adjourned till 28 February, 2018.
