Lookman Impressed With Atletico Madrid Performance Against Sevilla

Nigeria playmaker, Ademola Lookman is delighted to contribute to Atletico Madrid away win against Sevilla on Sunday.

A brace from Alex Baena and an individual effort from Lookman speareded the Rojiblancos to a 3-1 win against the Palanganas at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, Seville.

Lookman who was on the pitch for 66 minutes before making way for substitute, José Giménez said the unity of the team positively impacted their game against Sevilla.

“Good to get off the mark, Of course. I’m happy to win and that’s the most important thing. But also playing together as a team today in those moments were great. Yeah, I’m happy.

“Obviously, top players, interlinking together, playing with the same mindset, of course. Happy to play with the guys.”

The Super Eagles winger was glad Atletico Madrid got the three points at stake which he attributed to the sharpness of the team.

“I’m very happy with the three points, of course.”

“We played very well today. We were very sharp in the right moments. So, yeah, three points, on to the next game.”

Lookman believes the intention of the team hasn’t changed as they prepare to face more big guns ahead in the LaLiga.

“Big games against big teams. Prepare the same way that we’ve been preparing together with outer targets, with our intentions. And yeah, keep going like this, improve.”

Atletico Madrid will travel to face Athletic Bilbao in their next game at the San Mames Stadium, Bilbao on Saturday, September 5.
