The battery chargers in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area (LGA) have expressed relief as vehicles are back on the road to help their business to function.

Low demand for charging due to the restriction on vehicles from plying the road has flattened the business and made many miserable.

Expressing his joy over the relaxation, the chairman of battery chargers association, Oshodi-Isolo LG, Prince Adejare Ajani said the returning of vehicles to the road is a blessing to them.

He said they were relieved when the government announced the lockdown ease which brought back their clients to the road.

According to Ajani, battery charging business cannot thrive without the commercial transporters, private car owners and interstate vehicle travelers.

His words: “It wasn’t easy for us during the lockdown period. We had it rough because no movement of vehicles implied no sales for us. We thank God for the relaxation and we pray for the solution to the COVID-19 so that the world can be peaceful.

“Though business has not normalised, we have little patronage unlike before and we hope that things will turn good in a short while.”

He disclosed to ECHONEWS that vehicle battery charging price remains the same at the rate of N1,500 except when adding acid to the car battery which costs between N2,500 and N3,000 while big vehicles such as trailer/caterpillar with big amps of about 150/200 increase in price.
