The Isolo giant still rooted 2nd on the Lagos City League (LCL) table beat Soccer City FC 2-1 despite been one man down, as Goriola of Diadem Stallion was shown a red card in the 50th minute of the game.

 

Diadem Stallion went ahead after the start of the second half, then midfielder Goriola was shown a red card in the 50th minute, Soccer City equalized through a set piece before Bekebi Torofani scored the winner from the penalty spot late in the game.

Ibrahim Adeleye led by example by winning a penalty for Diadem Stallion in the 78th minute which was converted by the experienced Bekebi Torofani to give Diadem Stallion the lead despite having 10 men on the field of play.

 

Soccer City tried to get a draw in the game but met a resilience Diadem Stallion defense marshaled by Jagun.

Ibrahim Adeleye was awarded the Man Of The Match (MOTM) following his mouth watering performance to lead his side to victory.

 

The coach of Diadem Stallion, Ayodeji Adebayo while speaking with ECHONEWS said he was delighted with the win as the team displayed maturity and composure despite been one man down and glad that the maximum was secured.
