LASU Celebrates Nine Alumni Appointed As Lagos Judges

The Management of Lagos State University (LASU) has eulogized nine alumni of the institution for their graduation and ultimately, appointment as judges of the Lagos High Court.

The institution stated that the nonet became part of the overall 13 recently appointed by the state’s high court.

Disclosing this on Monday, LASU informed that the number is the highest ever to be recorded by any university in Nigeria at any given time.

The institution’s Vice Chancellor, VC, Professor Olatunji Bello, gave the names of the newly appointed judges as : Hons. Justices: Sunmonu Bashiru, Alebiosu Lawal, Anjorin-Ajose Abdulwaheed, Muyodeen Tejumade, George Akingbola, Balogun Ganiu.

To complete the list are Hons. Justices: Badejo-Okusanya Jokotola, Ojuromi Oluwatosin and Adewale Musiliu.

The VC congratulated the new judges and added that an appointment into such an exalted position was not a mean feat but a testament of their hard work, sacrifice and dedication to the noble profession as well as their impactful contributions to the Lagos State judiciary.

She further ascribed the feat of the judges to the solid foundation of excellence at the Institution’s Faculty of Law upon which they built their respective careers. He urged them to be above board and serve with the fear of God in carrying out their legal works.
