LASPOTECH students honour Rotary Club of Isolo

In recognition and appreciation of its contribution to educational, cultural and sports development in schools and Isolo community a s a whole, the National Association of Business Administration Students (NABAMS), Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) has feted Rotary Club of Isolo with Honorary award.

The award ceremony which was part of the many activities that featured during the NABAMS 2018 Jersey Day held recently at Isolo branch of the school.

Appreciating the students for the award, the President of the Club, Rotarian Dauda Adedayo, disclosed that the motive behind the massive supports given to developmental activities in the community under his leadership is to make sure that the youths are well equipped and that the entire residents of the community are catered for in one way or the other.

He said, “On behalf of Rotary Club of Isolo, I want to say a big thank you for this award. We want to make sure that the youths are happy, and bring out the best when in them. Their best will come and somehow it will help the society.”

He continued, “our goal at the end of the day is to make sure the youths are better citizens of this country, contributing positively to the growth of this country.”

Speaking further about his expectations of the event, he said, “my expectation is that the students become good citizens of this great nation. For that, we’ll be doing this every year, we will try to help them every year like this and when they grow up too they can help other people coming behind them. Every good thing in life is stressful, you must put significant amount of efforts in terms of finance and others. We thank God we are ending well today.”

Other sporting events wherein students of the association restrictively participated included Table Tennis, Football, sack race, 100m race, 200m race, 400m, draft and ludo games.

The 2018 Jersey Day was not only attended by current students of the department but graduated students and past executive members of the association.

Speaking about the event, the current President if the association, Thomas Olawale, said the promotion of Jersey Day event was to sustain the legacy of the previous administration and to make the students feel the impact of sports in the school environment.
