THE Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Education, has reaffirmed its commitment to free and qualitative education for school-aged children across the State.

Mr Abayomi Abolaji, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Education, said this during the monitoring of the conduct of the year 2023 placement test by Continuous Assessment Scores (CAS) at designated schools’ centres.

While addressing parents/guardians and stakeholders at the Eko Akete Grammar school, Lagos Island, he emphasised that the government will continue to drive its policy of “Leave no Child Behind” initiative to accommodate the Primary Six pupils who have completed their six years at Primary Level and are to be placed into Government public secondary schools in the State for the Year 2023/2024 academic session.

Maintaining that the Lagos State Government has greatly improved the education sector, the Permanent Secretary disclosed that children from both public and approved private schools are sitting for the examination.
