Joe Igbokwe insists on inauguration of Oshodi-Isolo Ndigbo executive c’mittee

The Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Drainage and Water Resources who doubles as the Apex Leader of Ndigbo in All Progressive Congress (APC), Engr. Joe Igbokwe, has insisted to hold the inauguration of APC Ndigbo executive committee members in Oshodi-Isolo constituency 1 against the petition written to stop the event from happening.
He appeared at the supposed venue (Oshodi-Isolo legislative building) for the inauguration and addressed the guests and members of the group that the venue of the programme would be changed to Ikeja at their meeting place to avoid rancour due to the petition/threat that has been made against the programme.
He said: “I am from the Area commander’s office, he told me that we should avoid holding our programme in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government to save lives since we are being threatened by the group members of the deputy Apex Leader Ndigbo who also doubles as a member of Lagos State House of Assembly representing Oshodi-Isolo constituency 11, Hon. Jude Idimogu not to inaugurate Oshodi-Isolo Ndigbo executive committee members.”
Igbokwe stated that he has decided to move the venue to their meeting place at Ikeja to avoid encountering the trouble of ordinary police officer in a situation where the assistant commissioner of police could not even listen to their plight.
He stated that the Area commander had asked them to move the event to elsewhere, warning that if anything should happen, he would state that he has warned earlier.
To save lives and to maintain peace, Igbokwe thetefore mobilised members to the headquarters meeting venue at Ikeja.
The Special Adviser to Oshodi-Isolo LG Chairman on Environment who is one of the chairmanship aspirants, Hon. Yusuf Adesanya calmed the situation on behalf of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Bolaji Muse-Ariyoh.
The Oshodi-Isolo LGA Eze Igbo (Eze Udemba Ezinifite), Eze Reuben Ibekama stated that he received several calls that he should not try to accommodate the programme in his house and that he should not even come out at all.
