The Medical Director/CEO of the hospital, Dr Godwin Akhabhoa said blood is critical to saving lives, appealing to the residents of Isolo community and other people to make voluntary donation.

According to him, blood is a major requirement for the survival of patients especially in emergency situations.

He noted with concern that some patients die because of lack of blood.

He recalled that only 39 people donated blood last time the exercise was carried out in July.
